What did we do at the Summit? attended workshops & asked questions… OCTOBER 24 2013 We watched performances & listened to guest speakers… Supporters visited information booths to learn about programs we can join… Major donors: Thrivent for Lutherans Madison SOUP In-kind donations: Benvenuto’s Chocolate Shoppe Einstein’s Bagels Klinke Cleaners Milio’s PDQ Pizza Hut The UPS Store UW Credit Union YMCA of Dane County participated in hands-on activities… and had fun with our friends! Y.E.S. stats: • 7 different workshops, with 12 presenters • 4 information tables • 72 participants, ranging from 6th to 11th grade, representing at least 4 schools • 115 sub sandwiches, 25 pizzas, 14 cases of soda, 6 Halloween sized bags of candy What did we think about the Summit? What did you like best about Y.E.S.? What would you like to do at next year’s Y.E.S.? That it taught me how I can start my own business and that you can do whatever you want to do in life if you go to school The performers We got to be part of something and we got to be with our friends I liked that everybody at YES is so nice and are so willing to help us, so into what they do I like that we learn how to fulfill our goals Learning new things that I can do in life when I’m older Everything! I liked how we had many different stations/workshops The fun classes and the singer in the gym Everybody can come together I learn more about how life is and how to get there & also having fun with it Important info to help in life I liked the name and that everyone was nice. It gave me information I can use in the future. It taught me a lot about the way others think The activities Everything! I liked it all. I wanna do it again. More and different activities I liked everything but probably something a little more interactive Everything we did before but more performances Same things, but different topics More group activities Perform at the gym Volunteer if I could.
