S Please write this drill in a spiral-bound notebook. If
you do not have one, please write it on a separate sheet
of paper, and transfer to a spiral-bound notebook
ASAP.

S You will work in groups of 2-3. You are working with
the person next to you. If there is no one next to you,
you are working with the pair closest to you.
S Once you have finished gathering the data, you may
return to your seats to begin working on the questions.

Classroom Expectations
S You will be seated at your desk and working on the warm-
up when the bell rings

S Use the bathroom, water fountain, pencil sharpener before

S You are expected to follow the Howard County Code of

Grades
S Grades will be posted online. Grades will be rounded
based on the county requirement.
S Categories:
S 50% Tests, Quizzes
S 25% Labs (most lab work)
S 15% Classwork/ Homework
S 10% Projects (includes STEM Fair, Formal Labs)
Late Work
S Accepted the next day at the beginning of class for
half-credit
S Any work handed in after one day will not be accepted
and will be given zero credit
Absence
S Your responsible for making up work when absent
S For excused absences you will be given the same
number of days that you missed to make up the work
S Unexcused absences will result in not being allowed to
make up missing work
S Students have one week to make up missed exams and
labs
S Check the make up folder, ask your peers, then ask me!
Lab Safety
S Lab safety is a priority in the chemistry classroom
S All students are required to sign the safety contract
S You MUST wear goggles and closed-toe shoes to
participate in lab.
S Failing to follow rules will cause removal from the lab
and a zero on the assignment!

S Available before school, after school and Lion Time

S Before & after school – make an appointment
S Lion Time – check with me first! Then, sign up
Discipline Ladder:
Tardy, Cell Phone, etc.
Redo Policy
Students will be afforded redo opportunities on
assignments/assessments based upon the overall class
performance on those assignments/assessments, but
individual students may discuss the possibility of a
redo with his/her teacher.
DO NOT ask to redo a test while taking a test
