Summative Assessment: (90% of final grade)

The student’s comprehensive knowledge of information and application of classroom material at the time of
the examination.
o Unit Exams (tests)
Can retake a standard(s) on a unit exam if the student has earned below an 80% on that standard and once
the student has completed the following:
 Retake contract and all assignments for that standard.
 Needs to be completed one week after return of test
 No retakes the last week of the quarter
Formative Assessment: (10% of grade)


Student’s ability to work with and practice applying the fundamental skills of biology.

Make-up. Quizzes, Tests, & Help:
1. Free Periods: 1st (M,T,W,F), 2nd , 6th (Lunch), 8th (T)
2. Academic Assistance 1st Per. on Thursday
3. Schedule help before or after school
4. Missed quizzes and test can be made up in test make-up room.

Lab Guidelines:
1. Be familiar with the: lab safety guidelines, clean up procedures, lab equipment, and lab technique so
you can work safety and efficiently in the laboratory.
2. You will be assigned a lab partner. You are expected to work with your partner at all times unless
specified by Dr. Bleile. We will change partners after each unit.
3. You may work with you lab partner to answer questions on the lab, but they need to be in your own
words.
4. No eating or drinking in lab unless specified by the teacher.
5. Data tables, graphs, and diagrams must be labeled.
6. Keep completed and graded labs to us as resources for quizzes and tests.
 It is your responsibility to get help, if you feel you don’t understand the
information! Please ask for help!
