Vice President, Enterprise Analytics (Analytic Manager 6) Job Description The Chief Data Officer (CDO) role was recently created to capitalize upon Wells Fargo’s significant investment in data and analytics over the past several years. Central to the office is the Enterprise Data & Analytics team (EDA), which brought together the largest data warehouse and data & analytics groups from areas across the Wells Fargo enterprise three years ago. Within EDA, the Enterprise Analytics is responsible for driving three key areas: Enterprise-wide Analytics: Developing and selling new, enterprise-wide analyses, methodologies, and metrics that help Wells Fargo focus on the entire customer relationship and experience. These approaches will help the company migrate beyond line-of-business centric product ownership, revenue, cost-to-serve, and risk measures to find new opportunities to drive revenue and optimize the customer experience. Analytical Innovation: Driving analytical R&D - testing new methodologies, software, and analytical approaches that will help the group prepare for the future. The team will also provide consulting services to groups across the enterprise to foster holistic innovation and “teach a person to fish.” Analytics Community of Practice: Bringing together team members from across EDA and analytical teams across the enterprise to share insights, techniques, and tools. The Vice President role, which reports to the SVP and Head of Enterprise Analytics, will be a critical component of the Enterprise Analytics team. He/ she will be responsible for delivering strategic analytical projects cutting across different LOBs such as Enterprise Marketing, Deposits, Wealth and Brokerage, Consumer Lending, Insurance, etc. In addition, the person will lead the Big Data Analytics COE leveraging extensive Hadoop databases and tools such as Aster, R, etc. And finally, this person will also be responsible for testing and onboarding new analytical tools and technologies working with 3rd party vendors. Basic Qualifications 10+ years reporting and analytical experience and 8+ years managerial experience or 3+ years leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function. Minimum Qualifications Experience in developing and deploying complex, new analytics and driving business insight and decisioning. Deep knowledge of statistical area such as ANOVA, Multiple Regression, Time-series Modeling, Principal Component Analyses, Decision Trees, and Clustering. Strong expertise in statistical modeling tools such as SAS, R, SPSS. Knowledge and experience of Big Data environments such as Hadoop and Aster. Familiarity with big data analytical tools such as Rev R, Spark, Trifacta, etc. that perform data wrangling and analytics on Hadoop. Proven ability researching and providing insight to emerging technologies that can change an enterprise level data and analytics landscape. Demonstrated experience partnering with direct and indirect business line senior-leaders in long range strategic planning and ensuring integration with enterprise wide technology strategy. This includes experience and the ability to balance all the different considerations and sensitivities with partners and influence positive strategic direction. Proven experience in establishing a large scale vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication and driving the vision to closure through the effective management of goals and objectives. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Financial Services, preferably in two or more lines of business in an analytical or business capacity. Knowledge of data management and technology concepts and environments.
