Revenue Management capabilities, thus improving decisions related to pricing, discounting, promotions and inventory allocation. Our typical client sees a revenue gain of 2 -7% with virtually no increase in cost.
Revenue Analytics has an immediate need for a Data Engineering Intern that will participate in all aspects of data management and software engineering on our client delivery projects, as well as assist in managing our own knowledge capital. As a member of the Revenue Analytics Team, you will be part of a dynamic, growing organization dedicated to helping our clients optimize the price and availability of their products.
Responsibilities
Perform data analysis to uncover revenue opportunities for our clients
Design and create multiple data stores for client data
Implement data requirements for pricing and revenue management solutions
Consult with the data engineering team on the design and development of pricing and revenue management solutions
Create an internal wiki
Requirements
Pursuit of Bachelors in an information sciences or engineering field
Web programming experience
Achievement of Senior status at associated university
Fluent with JAVA, SQL, Visual Basic, and Linux/Unix
Knowledge of C++/C#, SHELL programming, and PERL
2+ years experience with a relational database (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Informix or
SQLServer) and SQL or stored procedure programming
Ability to use a source control system such as Subversion
Ability to structure and analyze large data sets
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Creative approach to problem solving and solution design
Data mining and reporting expertise, including 3 rd
party tools such as R or SAS
