Basic set up
Step 1
• Sign into your Google Account
• Go to www.google.com/analytics/
Click ‘Access

• You see this page instead, click Create an Account
Sign up
Click ‘Sign Up’
Because you can
track several
different web
sites or blog
pages your
‘Account Name’
is just the overall
name of the
Analytics
account
Select Web site
or Mobile, then,
lower down the
page, enter the
details of your
website.
Then click ‘get
tracking ID’
Accept the Terms of Service
This is the tracking
code you need to
copy and paste into
the header of you
web site code or ask
your web developer
to do it for you
Home menu
Clicking
Home will
take you to
the list of
sites you are
tracking
Clicking here under
the name of the site
will show your data
Check your data
