If this is not the definition of a workaholic I don't know what is. Jimmy is truly a GENIUS
when it comes to making money. I have seen a bumper sticker which read: BUFFETT '08, if anyone
can turn our economy around it's Jimmy. On Election Day ask for a write in ballot and leave the
rest to Jimmy.
I'm exhausted just thinking about what he has accomplished, I need a margarita to help me relax!

Once again, we will be joining The Alzheimer’s Association for their annual
fundraiser at Shea Stadium. What better way to say good bye to a stadium where
some of us attended our very first baseball game, then to share it with fellow
parrot heads for a worthwhile cause? (Are you weepy yet?!) The Mets will be
playing the SF Giants on Wednesday, July 9th at 6:30 pm. If you want a chance to
see 1 last game at Shea and show your support….here’s your chance! Please send
a SASE and a check for $21.00 before June 30th to me at:

THANK YOU!
A thank you to the Parrot Heads who contributed to the Trevor Collection. Helene “Malibu” has
collected and sent a nice assortment of items that will help Trevor pass the time at St. Jude’s
Hospital. Last month, Trevor was Margaritaville’s Parrot Head of the Month. He is a 14 year
old going through treatment for leukemia. We hope Trevor enjoys his very thoughtful gifts!
Jimmy Buffett is one of 7 authors to reach the New York Times Bestseller List for Fiction and

Parrot Heads in Paradise Survey
On a serious note, (yeah right!) Bob Heffelfinger, Director of Membership for PHiP, would love if Metro PHs
took a few moments to answer the following questions and send their responses back the Parrot Heads in
Paradise Board at ADVENTH20@aol.com . For those of you who are computer literate, this survey will also
appear in an upcoming Banana Wind so after a quick copy/paste, you can easily answer and send off your
responses. (Please consider full-time undergraduate or graduate students only.)

5 Questions for JB
USA Today: Craig Wilson
1: Your new novel is about a pet pig living in a
four-star New York City hotel. It's a bit of a
departure for you, no? No boats or islands or
bars or ballads or beaches.
This one just popped into my lap. I liked it. Starts
out as one thing and ends up as another.
2: Is a pig going to go on tour with you this
summer?
Absolutely not. There may be a pig showing up
on the Today show.
3: Was that pig really there on the beach when
your photo was taken for the jacket?
No, he was not. We attempted to film myself with
the pig, but the pig bit me twice. Hell with that pig.
The pig is just kind of laid in there in that photo.
4: Obviously Parrot Heads read. Your Tales
From Margaritaville was the longest-running
best seller of 1989. What's your trick?
You know, I don't know. You have to challenge
yourself. I still fly airplanes for the same reason.
You have to keep yourself on the cutting edge. I
never tried to write the great American novel, and
somehow there was a reading audience. People
who never picked up an album but they liked my
book.
5: Is it still good being Jimmy Buffett?
It still is. I never thought, at 61, I'd still be
contemporary. It's been a great run.
SNL 30th Anniversary
May 13th marked the 30th anniversary of Jimmy’s
appearance on Saturday Night Live. As the musical
guest of the evening, Buffett sang “Son of a Son of
a Sailor”. Since this episode appeared before my
time, I will be picking up the newly released SNL
DVD featuring Richard Dreyfuss as the host, and of
course Jimmy Buffett. (BTW-Who’s this Dreyfuss
guy?)
Jimmy Sponsors
Windsurfer
How lucky is Antoine Questil?
Jimmy Buffett has decided to
sponsor the 24 year old French
windsurfer. Questil is
currently competing in the
Euro-Cup Mondial du Vent.

Chair
On May 11th, Sean Payton
announced his newest play:

host its first major event
October 10th with a
