I represent the New Orleans Parrot Head Club, www.nophc.org , a chartered chapter of Parrot
Heads in Paradise, the national Jimmy Buffett fan club organization. NOPHC and PHiP are not
for profit organizations whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental concerns and
to provide a variety of social activities for people sharing a common interest in the music of Jimmy
Buffett and the tropical lifestyle exhibited in his words and music. To that end, we are now in the
process of preparing for our annual “Six String Music” Songwriters’ Invitational, a musical
weekend that draws Parrot Heads from all over the country and benefits the “New Orleans
Musicians’ Clinic” (http://wwoz.org/clinic).
Your generous donation of merchandise, sponsorship or personal services for our event will be
greatly appreciated. We have auctions, raffles and sponsor recognitions levels of $125,$250, $500
and $1,000 and above. Donor recognition and promotion will also be welcomed in our convention
guide and goody bag that every registrant receives.
The 10th Annual “Six String Music” Songwriters’ Invitational, which is co-sponsored with the
Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club, and the Loyal Order of Disorder Parrot Head Club will
be held August 8, 9, 10, and 11, 2013 at our host venues Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville-New
Orleans, and both Tropical Isle locations. All events will be held in the historic district of New
Orleans: the French Quarter. Scheduled to perform are nationally known Parrot Head genre
musicians that will be announced the first week of June.
