AND SOUTH AIRFIELD FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS

General Description
Runway Status Lights Work: Construction of a new Runway
Status Light (RWSL) Substation and associated ductbanks,
copper cabling. All associated electrical, lighting, mechanical,
plumbing, cabling, and cable equipment. Runway 22L Glide
Slope Modifications: Construction of a new Runway 22L Glide
Slope Equipment Pad and associated electrical work, new
power feed, grading and drainage, and demolition of old.
Ductbank tie-ins and new cables. Central Cargo Tunnel Fan
Rehabilitation: Removal of two South Cargo Tunnel Fans to be
replaced with two 140,000 cfm, in-line axial fixed pitch fans.
All associated electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and control
and monitoring systems.

BAGGAGE SERVICE ALLEY RETAINING WALL
REPAIRS/REPLACEMENT

General Description
Scope of work includes the use of helical piles adjacent
to the toe of the footing and anchoring the helical pile
system to the concrete toe. Structural and cosmetic
concrete repairs will be utilized in areas where the
concrete has delaminated or where the wall has large
cracks. Weep holes will be provided to allow trapped
water to release onto the roadway instead of
contributing to the deterioration of the wall. A new
concrete cap will replace the existing one and a new
coat of elastomeric paint will cover the entire wall.

TAXIWAY NN RECONSTRUCTION

General Description
Reconstruction of existing Taxiway NN which has
exceeded its design life and is in poor condition. The
existing section cannot support the load of the design
aircraft for this area, namely the Boeing 747-8 Cargo
airplane. The taxiway will be designed as a Taxiway
Design Group (TDG) 6 with 75 foot wide pavement and
30 foot wide shoulders. A new parallel taxilane would
be constructed in the future to support a Phase 3
expansion of the Northeast Cargo Facility. This project
includes Concrete Reconstruction and asphalt overlay.

RUNWAY 10L-28R REHABILITATION

General Description
This project includes the milling and bituminous
overlay of the portion of the runway that has asphalt
surface as well as the adjacent taxiways up to the
mandatory hold bar. The in-pavement runway lights
and bases including runway centerline, runway
touchdown zone, LAHSO, runway edge, and taxiway
centerline will be adjusted. Also includes all new
installation of cabling and fixtures.

RING & UTILITY TUNNEL CONCRETE REPAIRS

LANDSIDE FIRE MAIN REPLACEMENT

General Description
Relocation of the terminal area fire main loop including
approximately 7000 lf of 12” fire main, approximately
1500 lf of 8” hydrant fire main and replace 23 fire
hydrants. New alignment will minimize impacts to traffic
by locating portions of the loop within the surface parking
lot. Medians and center lanes will be reconstructed
within the terminal area to meet ADA and will include
new sidewalks and utility upgrades.

BESSIE COLEMAN WATERMAIN

General Description
The project involves the replacement of approximately 5,000 lf of
water main along Bessie Coleman, a connection to the existing
12” service line adjacent to the E Lot ATS Station, and abandoning
the existing water main running underneath I-190. The water
main serves the Cab Lot, Fire Hydrants, Rental Car Facilities and
Parking Areas, the General Aviation Facility and GA Ramp
Hydrants, and Lot G. Other work items will include: lateral runs to
fire hydrants, isolation valves, valve boxes, fire hydrants, cathodic
protection and other pertinent items integral to the installation of
a new water distribution and/or capping and connections to the
existing water main.

55TH AND 63RD STREET SECURITY
GUARD BOOTH

General Description
Project will include the reconfiguration of the 55th
and Laramie Gate and the replacement of the 63rd
and Laramie Guard Booth. Scope will include guard
booth replacements, new emergency generators,
new concrete and asphalt pavements, lighting
improvements, curb and gutter replacement, and
drainage improvements. Also included will be
landscaping improvements and sanitary sewer
upgrades.
