They should record the book and pages read on their Planning Sheet. Expect to find one page (double sided) of Math homework each night Monday-Thursday from the day’s lesson. There will also be All the Right Type, practicing math facts, or studying spelling words assigned nightly. Once a week your child will be expected to make an entry into his/her Reading Response Journal. There may also be writing homework for students who need to finish assignments not completed in class. Late/Missing Work • Students who do not bring back their homework will need to stay in during recess to finish it. • If your child has excessive missing work, I will send an e-mail or note home. Students will be expected to complete and return work promptly. • Students are expected to complete homework assignments for days they are at school. If a child is sick, s/he does not have to do homework for the days s/he wasn’t present. There will also be a secret bonus word that can help, but not harm a student’s score.
