La Casa student staff members assist in the following areas:
Event Programming: Create and implement programs of social, political, educational and cultural
natures in collaboration with RSOs, other cultural centers and campus units (ex. Dinner Dialogues,
Día de los Muertos, Fiesta, etc.).
META (retention programming): Create and implement programs to address retention and
leadership at all undergraduate levels; promote personal and academic development; develop
mentorship networks among faculty, staff and students (ex. Weekly META workshops, Resilience
Network).
Community Outreach: Interface with community and social service leaders, coordinate outreach
programs, and maintain a network of volunteers (ex. Pen Pal, LYC, School Visits).
Marketing and Publications: Develop strategies to market La Casa programs; assist with
publications.
