Chief architect of an ATCA chassis based GPON router/access switch (sorry to say cancelled after 6 months of development due to financial reasons). PacketFront – Manager Systems Engineering March 2005-May 2007 Managed the Systems Engineering team with four people under me; two in Stockholm, one in London and one in Shanghai. Interface between Product Management and rest of R&D. Clarified requirements, wrote implementation proposals, system solutions, whitepapers, presentations, use cases etc. Evaluated vendors and hardware components, such as ASICs, memories etc for new platforms. Followed standardization work in IETF, ITU-S15, DSL Forum, MEF to be up to date on the latest market trends and requirements. I was the key persons building the ASR5000 product, an successful NPU based access/edge router. I also was responsible for selecting vendor and evaluation when developing the ASR10000 router. Evaluated and selected CPU for the cost reduction of the CPS200/300 CPE switch. Been part of many COST reduction projects for products such as ASR4000, ASR5000, CPE. PacketFront – Product Manager Engineer March 2004 – February 2005 Collected requirements, both internally and from customers. Identified use cases. Clarified requirements and scoped implementations. Worked with both Embedded Systems/Networking and Management systems, including High-Availability products. Xelerated- Senior System Engineer March 2001-February 2004 Designed and developed the fast path code in the X10 Network Processor for bridging, IPv4, IPv6 and MPLS protocols, using PISC assembly language. Designed protocol specifications between fast path and slow path. Designed APIs controlling the Network Processor such as boot, configuration, application load, TCAM/SRAM management, and the fast path processing in the control plane, closely following relevant forums such as IETF and Network Processor Forum. Created both internal and external documentation such as “implementation proposals” to the ASIC team, “X10 NPU User guide”, “IPv4 and MPLS Application notes”, “IPv6 Service Card” and targeted Application notes for customers. Performed usability studies of the hardware verifying that the ASIC could be used to build core, edge and metro routers. Screened surrounding chips that is needed to build systems such as Switch Fabric, TCAM, SRAM and control plane processors. Cisco US/San Jose, Senior Software Engineer April 2000 – February 2001 Responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting new features in the IOS ISIS routing protocol.
