It will be very important to attend each session. There will not be any repeats of lectures or labs. Rely on the BUDDY system to keep up to date WHEN ANY sessions are unavoidably missed. Document presentation All "hand-in" documents must be properly identified, have a cover page and a table of contents. The table of contents must include Subject title, Due date, First and Last name, Student ID, iSeries user id. The cover page and table of contents are marked for clarity and neatness on each assignment or lab. Assignments There will be three assignments worth a total of 20% of your final grade. Assignments are to be handed to me at the end of class on the due date. They must comply with the document presentation standard. Non compliance of the document presentation standard on Assignments means it will not be graded. They must be resubmitted and can cause it to be considered late. Late Assignments Assignments that are submitted late will lose 20 percentage points for each calendar day late. Labs Ten labs will be marked throughout the semester totaling 5% of your final grade. If you miss a specific lab or submit it late you forfeit the marks. Tests There will be two mid term tests worth 40% of your final grade Missed Test If you miss a mid term test due to an emergency you must EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY in order to receive consideration for your absence. You will need to provide documented evidence (ie. Doctor's note) of the emergency. I am reluctant to provide help outside of regular class time to students who do not bother or infrequently attend classes. You are responsible on all tests and assignments for any material covered or assigned in class or contained within noted sections of the text. Classes will start on time and late arrivals must not disturb the class. Enter quietly and take a seat. Do not disturb the class by asking questions about what took place before your arrival. Students who are late for class should make arrangements with a buddy to obtain information on material covered and hand outs.
