8 lane, 25 yard pool with Kiefer Non-turbulent lane lines. Pool depth 4ft(start end) to 8ft(turn end). Colorado
touchpads and eight lane electronic scoreboard. Hy-Tek computerized meet entries and results. 16.5 yard warm-up
and warm-down pool. Pool Depth 13ft.
DUE TO THE WVU MEN’S BASKETBALL GAME ON SUNDAY 11/9 PARKING WILL NOT BE
AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY 11/9. YOU MAY DROP OFF YOUR SWIMMER AND THEN YOU WILL
TO FIND ALTERNATIVE PARKING FOR THE MEET.
ANY PERSON VERBALLY ABUSIVE OR ACTS IN AN INAPPROPRIATE MANNER WILL BE
REFUSED ENTRY TO MEET PER USA SWIMMING RULLES CODE OF CONDUCT.
TEAMS WILL BE OFFERED A PRE PAID PARKING PASS IF THEY WISH FOR $20.00 PER CAR. IF

ELIGIBILITY:
All swimmers MUST be current USA swimming members and this # must be entered on the meet entry.
Entry age will be the age of the swimmer on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH , 2014
Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in
performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this
requirement.
All meet directors, referees, starters, and stroke and turn judges serving in an official capacity must be
members of USA Swimming or other FINA-member organization. All persons acting in any coaching
capacity must be members of USA Swimming (except: participating under provisions of 202.6 or USA
Swimming "open border" policy).
No entrant will be permitted to compete unless the entrant is a member as provided in Article 302. This
means that recons MUST be done before the meet so as to verify all entrants!!!!!

ENTRIES:
ENTRY
ENTRY FEES:
A Hy-Tek meet event file for import into Team Manager is available on the West Virginia Aquatics website
(http://www.eteamz.com/clubmountaineer). Each swimmer is limited to FOUR (4) individual events per day,
Friday Session THREE (3) individual events. All entries for clubs with more than ten swimmers must be
submitted as a Hy-Tek file via email to the Entry Chairperson. Subject line should include date of meet entering
and your club name. Body of email should include: meet name, team name, number of individual events, number
of relay events, and the team contact person’s information, including email address and phone number. A hard
copy of your meet entries assorted by SWIMMER NAME, not by event; relays; entry fee report and check
must be in by Friday, November 7th @ START OF WARM UPS. Please do not forget to include the surcharge
per swimmer in your entry fees. CM assumes no responsibility for errors in disk entries & reserves the right to limit
the number of swimmers. No fax entries will be accepted.
Entries must be received by Saturday November 1st, 2013! Entries received after November 1st will not be
guaranteed. Meet size will be limited to the first 650 entries received. Status of meet entries received will be
posted on Club Mountaineer Aquatics website (http://www.eteamz.com/clubmountaineer) and will be routinely
updated until full. No entries will be accepted after meet entry limit has been met. DECK ENTRIES WILL BE
ACCEPTED DURING THE MEET. 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO START OF MEET. SWIMMER MUST BE
IN OTHER EVENTS IN ORDER TO DECK ENTER. THERE MUST BE AN OPEN LANE TO SWIM IN
AND OFFICIALS WILL DETERMINE LANE AVAILABLILITY. No scratches with changes to other events
will be accepted during the meet.

RULES:
2014/15 USA rules will govern the entire swim meet. Whistle start and no-false start recall rules will be in effect.
SEEDING:
All events are timed-finals and are seeded slowest to fastest. This meet will be a pre-seeded event with the exception
of the Open 400 IM and 500 Freestyles which will be positive check-in events. Check-in for these events will close 30
minutes before the conclusion of warm-up on Friday Nov. 7th for the 500 Fr and Saturday Nov. 8th for the 400 I.M.
warm-up session.
DISABLED
SWIMMERS:
Any swimmer with a disability should contact the Meet Director to notify them of their disability prior to the
start of the meet.

Individual High Point, 1st place trophies will be awarded in each age group. Only the Open 500 Fr will be added
for High Point in the following Age Groups, 11-12, 13-14, Senior. The 400 I.M. will not apply
*Swimmers 19 years of age and over will not be scored for Senior High Point Events.

Each team will receive 1 copy of the final results. Results can also be viewed on the West Virginia Aquatics

CONCESSIONS: CM will provide a concession area near the Natatorium. All food MUST be consumed in the gallery
or the concession area. NO FOOD WILL BE PERMITTED ON DECK OR IN THE LOCKER
ROOMS. ONLY DRINKS IN PLASTIC BOTTLES WILL BE PERMITTED ON DECK--NO
EXCEPTIONS.
CONDUCT:
To comply with WVU and USA Swimming safety policies, NO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL WILL BE
ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK. Only registered swimmers, coaches, officials and meet staff are
allowed on deck. Coaches must be prepared to show current USA registration. Coach’s credentials will be
checked. Any coach not having a current USA card or proof of certifications WILL NOT be allowed on deck.
Parents, please wait for your swimmers outside of the pool entry doors. If you need help in getting your
swimmer or his/her belongings, please let one of the Meet Marshals know and they will be happy to assist you.
Parents who refuse to leave the deck or recurrently appear on deck will be ejected from the Natatorium by
WVU security. Failure to enforce these safety policies may result in CM losing meet-hosting privileges.
OILY SUBSTANCES (ex: motion lotion, body oil, body lotion) WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON SWIMMERS
OR ON DECK. These substances cause safety concerns for individuals on deck and problems with our pool.
Swimmers are forbidden on the diving boards and trampoline. Violations will result in disqualification from an event,
session, or the meet, at the discretion of the Meet Referee and Meet Director. Any destruction of property during the
meet will result in the immediate disqualification and removal of the swimmer, spectator, or guest from the meet and
the meet area. Each club will be held responsible for the behavior of their swimmers, parents, guests, and coaching
staff. Laser pointers are forbidden in the Natatorium.
MEET
OFFICIALS:
All teams are encouraged to assist with the officiating of the meet. Those officials interested in assisting
should check in with the Meet Referee. Please submit names of volunteer officials with your meet entries.
TIMERS:
Volunteer timers are welcome at any point in the meet; please report to the Clerk of Course.
WARM-UPS:
WV LSC warm-up procedures will be used during the meet warm-up periods. Teams will be assigned lanes and
warm-up times. If a swimmer does not have a certified USA registered coach with them, the swimmer must report to
the Meet Referee. In the event of overcrowding during warm-up, new lane assignments may be made. All coaches
will be informed of warm-up procedures, lane assignments, and any changes in their coaching packet. The diving well
will be open during the meet for warm-up/warm-down–feet first entry only.
START TIMES: The afternoon session start times are estimates--the afternoon session will start approximately 1 ½ hours after
completion of the morning session. If the morning session finishes early, the start of the afternoon session will be no
earlier than 1 pm (i.e., warm-ups beginning at 11:30am). Teams will receive meet update information by
approximately the Monday before the meet that includes an estimated timeline and warm-up assignments.
DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 79S take exit 155 (West Virginia University). Turn left off the exit ramp onto access road. Follow
access road to 2nd traffic light and turn right at Sheetz on to Route 7E/19S. Cross the Monongahela Bridge and go
through stop light to the top of the hill. At next light, turn right into the WVU coliseum parking lot. Bear to the right
around the Coliseum to the Natatorium by the lower level parking lot. Enter the Natatorium at the southern-most end
of the 2-story building. From I-79N take exit 155 (WVU) and follow directions as above.
