Systems’ operation-oriented Training Systems implement the most advanced
training concepts and technologies enabling individuals and combat units to “train
like you fight.”

success is the ability to bring sophisticated training to the field, wherever the
forces are. Elbit Systems’ land based training and simulation solutions are
geared for the full spectrum of war fighters needs, from personal training all the
way to entire battle groups. The systems' realism and overall effectiveness have

Global Deployment
Our Land Training systems are mission-ready and can be rapidly dispatched and
deployed to support worldwide operations. Designed for easy reconfiguration and
rapid, global deployment each solution is precisely tailored to meet equipment
requirements as well as the needs of various missions and doctrines. They
enable warfighters and command staff to be immersed in high fidelity, real-time,
operational environments, without threat to lives or equipment. With flexible, open
architecture and modular design our Land Training solutions allow unlimited
growth as new battlefield trends and weapons evolve.
Simulating the Systems We Supply

on actual systems and products within appended and embedded solutions.
Following is a brief overview of the major Land Training categories with
short descriptions of some of the relevant systems, all of which are
deployed and proven:
Tactical and HQ Training
For maintaining and enhancing tactical skills, Elbit Systems' tactical and
collective team trainers are ideal. Combining cutting edge tactical battlefield
simulation with actual C4I systems, our advanced concepts adapt to training for
high intensity conflicts (HIC) and low intensity conflict (LIC) scenarios including
urban warfare and counter-terror operations as well as any OOTW (Operations
Other Then War) and homeland security (HLS) scenarios.
Tactical Battle Group Trainer (TBT) Combining training of a complete unit or
battle group in combined arms and joint operations (armored/mechanized,
infantry, artillery, forward observers, forward air controllers, engineers and
logistics), TBT is a highly effective solution for training of commanders and staff
from company to battalion and brigade levels. It's unique concept enables battle
group leaders to acquire tactical doctrines and to sharpen their command and
control skills while practicing various procedures, implementing C4I usage,
conducting mission-rehearsal and training on an actual geo-specific terrain, in
any operational scenario. The system offers extremely cost-effective training,
saving in training personnel, shortening setup times and depicting highly efficient
system maintenance.
Command and Staff Training (CST)
This unique system is designed to train tactical and operational headquarters and
provides users with a trainer for the widest variety of fighting scenarios - both LIC
and HIC and for other non-military settings such as OOTW. It also enables
training for Civilian Military Cooperation (CIMC), such as municipal authorities,
police and medical organizations (e.g. Red Cross). The system combines full
training with qualitative debriefing. The training takes place within the operational
headquarters and is connected to the Command, Control and Communications
systems. The advanced High Level Architecture (HLA) enables compatibility of
the training with the specific needs of every trainee. With the help of user friendly
interface and advanced artificial intelligence, the trainer also enables minimal use
of personnel and thus saves training costs.
Forward Observer Trainer (FOT) An artillery and field intelligence trainer
specially designed to train FOs of joint strike and fire support missions, FOT
enables full simulation of real-life battlefield situations including fire planning,
ranging, and field operation as well as target detection, recognition, identification,
acquisition and engagement in diverse environmental conditions, while using a
wide variety of sensors and effects.
Homeland Security Simulation System (HLS2)
The HLS2 provides a complete, virtual and constructive training tool for HLS
organizations focused on command and control of security events and crisis
management. It enables multidisciplinary training for emergency medical support
(EMS), search and rescue, firefighters, rescue and NBCR teams, sensitive
infrastructure management and more. Based on highly advanced simulation
technology, the system features decision making simulators, control room
training, and debrief capabilities. With its robust simulation infrastructure, the
HLS2 presents comprehensive large scale urban arenas with all the factors
affecting how the situation evolves. Featuring high fidelity representation, the
system generates realistic experiences with detailed accuracy in all aspects.
Platforms and Weapon-operated training systems
Today’s mission scenarios are characterized by highly advanced systems and
platforms whose operation requires comprehensive and effective training. These
systems bring specialized, sophisticated training to the field and on actual
platforms, wherever forces are stationed.
Appended Tank Crew Trainer (ATCT)
An innovative trainer for tanks and Armored Carrier Vehicle (ACV), the ATCT
connects to the actual platform, assuring training as real as it gets. Trainees have
hands-on access to actual systems, allowing to sharpen skills and abilities
wherever the forces are deployed,. Rugged and compact, the ATCT provides a
high fidelity simulation environment for the crew, enabling training in diverse
operational tasks. Independent (ITCT), mockup based versions of the above
training system are also available. Our product line of platform training systems
allows training from gunnery and crew up to the platoon and company levels for a
wide variety scenarios.
ETCT – Embedded training solution for gunnery
ETCT is a complete, autonomous, on-board training and simulation suite,
capable of simulating virtual threats and arenas. The ETCT on-board simulation
system maintains a virtual range of real threats which are presented to the tank
and ACV gunner and commander using their own sights. Threats are placed on
the virtual terrain and behave according to smart doctrines. The ETCT standard
package consists of the mounted unit and the PC scenario and debrief station,
enhancing the training cycle with powerful exercise preparation, planning and
debriefing capabilities.
Driving Simulators
Our tank and Armored Carrier Vehicle (ACV) driving simulators are mounted atop
a motion platform specifically designed to provide drivers with the capability to
perform real-life training. Enabling driving in any given arena (terrain, weather,
etc.) and participation in a full range of contemporary combat and non-combat
scenarios, they save time and expense by providing mobile, scalable and
modular deployment, multi-AFV type support, network-based architecture and
seamless network integration with the relevant simulation system.
Infantry Gunner Training System (IGTS) is a complete networked solution for
effective training of dismounted soldier shooting and combat training up to the
platoon level combined with all type of weapons, mortars, front observers,
artillery and air support. It provides multi-level training capabilities and allows
training in individual gunnery, weapon system operation, target identification and
single vehicle commander. The system allows control and monitoring ongoing
exercises and extensive debriefing capabilities including full playback.
Live Training
Elbit Systems Live Training Systems present realistic battlefield conditions and
high-fidelity replication of weapons and tactical engagements. Designed to
provide battlefield training as real as it gets, the systems combine innovative
technologies and software resulting in a true “Train Like You Fight” environment.
Offering real-time monitoring of trainees and events, these systems are easily
configured for mobile usage and can be customized and tailored for specific
applications and customer's needs.
Live Combat Training System (LCTS) A complete solution for tactical
combined arms, force-on-force, live training, the LCTS combines infantry and
armored vehicle laser suites, independent broadband communication and control
center capabilities into an integrated, realistic live training solution. It is fully
independent and deployable, facilitating efficient training in various terrains and
urban areas without the need of sight installation. The system enhances
performance of soldiers, crews, battle teams and units. Key features include a
Weapon Engagement System (WES) – live fire with eye-safe laser system,
adaptable to any weapon or platform, laser emitter approach using an automated
software controlled adjustable range (A-SCAR®) mechanism. A complete
solution for urban training, LTCS installation is based on an accurate,
independent urban navigation system for dismounted soldiers (SUN).
SUN – Soldier Urban Navigation System
Urban capabilities are embedded in all of SUN's building blocks, from Control
Centers and Communications, to Player units for all of the training stages (i.e.
preparation, execution and debriefing). SUN is a unique, multi-sensor system
located on the trainee's body, combined as an add-on to our live training system
as well as to other systems, providing highly accurate tracking of aerial position
as well as of body postures in an indoor environment. The system is mounted on
the soldier, thus is fully deployable and not restricted to pre-prepared sites.
