Sub: Train the Trainer Programme on Venture Strategy Simulation using Marketplace

We have pleasure in informing you that, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India
(EDI) is organizing Train the Trainer Programme on Venture Strategy Simulation using
Marketplace, at EDI Campus, Ahmedabad during 18th to 21st March, 2014.
The programme basically aims at equipping entrepreneurship educators of Management
Institutes in using Marketplace-Venture Strategy Simulation as an effective teaching
pedagogy. Simulation is an experiential learning exercise in which students practice the
design, implementation, and control of business strategies. Moreover, it can help students
develop an almost intuitive understanding of business, including a seamless perspective of its
functional elements and knowledge of how these elements can be coordinated to achieve a
strong and profitable position in the market. Another distinctive feature of simulations is their
emphasis on management-of the firm, of its strategy, and of its resources. The workshop
would be delivered by Dr. Ernest R. Cadotte (Fisher Professor of Innovative Learning – The
University of Tennessee, USA )
The programme fee is Rs. 15,000/- (including 12.36% service tax) which cover tuition fee,
course material, and boarding & lodging. The fee does not cover any travel, conveyance, outof-pocket or medical expenses. It may be noted that we can enroll only 20-25 candidates, on
first-come-first-served basis.
We shall be thankful if you could kindly nominate faculty members from your institution and
arrange to send us the duly filled in nomination form along with the programme fee latest by
08th March, 2014.
