The Corporate Partnerships Department has made a step-change in fundraising activity, targeting both existing and potential donors to maximise their potential. At the heart of our work is a targeted campaign to generate strategic partnerships and with where possible, the propensity to be globally scalable. We believe this approach will be vital as companies move away from traditional forms of giving such as Charity of the Year relationships, towards more mutually beneficial partnerships which meet their needs for business relevance, engaging customers, inspiring staff and assisting the delivery of their business ethics and CSR targets. The Corporate Partnership Team’s vision is to dramatically increase the amount of income to Save the Children from corporate donors and to give donors the opportunity to engage in realising dramatic change for children. The team have recently won a major Charity adoption with Morrisons which aims to raise millions over 2011 and 2012 and we are recruiting an Account Manager to join the team to deliver this exciting partnership. The team’s objective is to develop this into an exceptional corporate partnership, work laterally across all parts of Save the Children to ensure maximum value is delivered to the organisation, and to recruit more individual supporters for Save the Children. 1 Corporate Fundraising and Marketing are both critical parts of growing Save Children. As well as providing valuable income, our aspiration is that our corporate partners are truly integrated into our objectives and plans. We wish to develop long term high value, multi layered strategic partnerships - multi million & multi year. We actively seek to involve companies in our work both as financial partners, in kind supporters and increasingly partners on specific areas of expertise. Job Purpose To achieve corporate fundraising income targets for the Morrisons partnership. To devise and implement creative profitable fundraising campaigns with businesses, engaging their employees and customers, monitoring progress and evaluating benefit. To act as the day to day manager and central point of contact for the partnership, ensuring the strategy is fully implemented and partnership well serviced. To manage specific projects and provide support as agreed with Morrisons Project Manager Areas of Responsibility Specific Projects To manage respective partnerships maximising potential income To achieve / exceed income targets To devise creative and innovative fundraising campaigns with accounts using a range of fundraising techniques Account Management Liaise with corporate contacts, build and develop relationships Assist with the preparation of contractual agreements and ensure that these are fully adhered to Working with the Project Manager devising detailed tailored plans that maximise income in the short and long term Ensure all accounts meet income targets Effectively solve problems and manage risk to ensure achievement of targets Prepare presentations, proposals, plans, contact reports as necessary Evaluate and document partnerships, ensuring all activity is recorded accurately on database Ensure the partnership is consistent with Save the Children’s corporate guidelines at all times 2 Promote Save the Children events, campaigns, sponsorship, payroll giving and volunteering, maximising income potential from all opportunities Provide reports and analysis as required Input into creative solutions to maximise opportunities Ensure that all income is efficiently recorded and provide analysis using the organisational database Organisational Monitor income and expenditure and resources e.g. merchandise, fundraising materials Establish and build effective and productive relationships within the Corporate Partnerships Team Keep up to date with developments in the Corporate and Charity Sector e.g. news and competitive activity Maximise opportunities which helps the Save the Children achieve its core objectives and which are presented by the partnership Work With Others Work with all relevant areas of Save the Children to meet partner needs Work with other departments in executing corporate projects and plans Work closely with the Project Manager, Heads of Account Management, the Corporate Partnerships Team and across Save the Children to inform, promote and deliver the Corporate Partnerships Strategy Attend internal meetings, seminars, working groups, provide reports and analysis as required Work with the regional and UK Programme teams where appropriate General Raise awareness of the Save the Children’s work and the urgent need for funds Support and work within the framework of the Partnerships and Philanthropy Strategy positively at all times Support the Project Manager and Heads of Account Management as required Represent the Project Manager and Heads of Account Management as required Support partnerships as required – some travel required Any other duties as may be required 3 Person Specification Significant experience of supporting staff and customer fundraising partnerships Experience of working on cause related marketing promotions with corporate partners Good planning and prioritising skills to manage a varied and pressurised workload while focusing on the "big picture" Diplomatic and persuasive, able to build objective lines of argument/rationales for action and present viewpoints assertively Proven track record of delivering creative solutions to overcome obstacles and enhance profitbaility Excellent verbal communication skills both face-to-face and on the phone, including presentation skills Excellent written communication skills to include effective proposal writing and correspondence to internal and external audiences Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade, motivate, network and negotiate effectively Ability to network with, and influence, senior people both internally and externally in order to achieve a pre-defined outcomes Understands and applies commercial and financial principles to improve performance.
