Ripasso programma di terza.
UNIT 6 – Image and identity – body decoration, feelings; build your vocabulary: colloquial
language; learning new words from a text;
Grammar: Reflexive pronouns and each other; Have/get something done; defining and non-defining
relative clauses;
Communication: Give your opinion about appearance, express annoyance; writing: advice on a
forum; linkers;
Everyday listening and speaking: Going to the hairdresser’s.
UNIT 7 – A perfect world, Politics and government, policies; build your vocabulary: cognate or
false friends;
Grammar: make, let and be allowed to; first conditional with if, when, unless and as soon as; 2nd
conditional; 1st v 2nd conditional; I wish/if only with past simple:
Communication: Express certainty and doubt; apologise for misunderstanding, continuing a
conversation; essay on your opinions (community work);
Everyday listening and speaking: Negotiating rules at home.
UNIT 8 – Ups and downs, personality and behaviour, managing your time, antonyms, recording
vocabulary;
Grammar: Comparatives and superlative of adjectives and adverbs; 3rd conditional and conditionals
review; gerund v infinitive;
Communication: Express regret (I wish/if only + past perfect; talk about things that affect you;
console and encourage; Story about an experience, modifiers.
Everyday listening and speaking: Talking about a family likeness.
UNIT 9 - Honestly , honesty and morals, reporting verbs, make or do;
Grammar: reported speech: requests and orders, statements, questions, indirect questions; learning
verb patterns;
Communication: make requests, explain and clarify a situation;
Everyday listening and speaking: expressing disbelief.
