UNIT 2 – Functions: about families, describing people. Vocabulary. Grammar:
possessive case, possessive adjectives. Adjective order. Qualifiers. Listening, reading,
writing.
UNIT 3 – Functions: about likes and dislikes. Agreeing and disagreeing. Vocabulary.
Grammar: present simple of like + ing, play, do and go + ing. Which., what, when.
Connectors: and, but, or. Object pronouns. So do I, neither do I, Oh, I do. Oh, I
don’t. Listening, reading, writing.
UNIT 4 – Functions: about daily activities, jobs and telling the time. Talking about
lifestyle. Vocabulary. Grammar: present simple: all forms. Expressions with have. The
time. Both. Preposition of time: at, on in. Adverbs and expression of frequency.

UNIT 5 – Functions : about present activities on the phone, about temporary actions,
about the present. Personal life, schools.Vocabulary. Grammar: present continous: all
forms. Present continous v present simple. Time expressions ( at the moment, these
days, this week….). Listening, reading, writing.
UNIT 6 – Functions: about food and quality, about diet. Cardinal numbers.
Vocabulary. Grammar: countable and uncountable numbers. Listening, reading and
writing.
UNIT 7 – Functions: making requests and offers, making accepting and refusing
suggestions. Talking about ability. Vocabulary. Meals in Britain. Listening, reading,
writing. Grammar: would like ( to ), would like v like. Let’s…., Shall we?...What about,
how about + ing ; would prefer to, would rather; can ability, well, ( not ) very well.
UNIT 8 - Function: talking about the past, about place and date of birth. Asking for
permission and making requests. Phrasal verbs: turn, lend, borrow. Vocabulary.
Grammar: verb to be: past simple ( all forms ). Past time expression ( last night….ago ),
Preposition of place. Can, could, may. Listening, reading, writing.
UNIT 9 - Functions: about the past, about holidays. Gap years. Vocabulary.
Grammar: Past simple regular and irregular verbs ( all forms ). Interrogative pronoun:
how long. Accomodation; activities; duration. Adjectives of opinion. Listening, reading,
writing.
UNIT 10 – Function: using public transport, talking about the past. Vocabulary.
Grammar: Present simple as future ( timetables ). Past simple of regular and irregular
verbs. It takes. Subject/object questions; first, then, next. Every, some, any, no
compounds. Building, shape, material. Listening, reading, writing.
UNIT 11: Function: Asking about possession, asking for and give direction. Grammar:
Whose and possession pronouns. Imperative. Proposition of place and movement.
Shops and places in town. Directions. Vocabulary. Listening, reading writing.
UNIT 12: Function: Making comparisons and expressing preferences. Vocabulary.
Dialogue. Grammar: comparatives adjectives, superlative adjectives. Listening,
Speaking.
