Aldeburgh Music Job Description Job Title: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT Reporting to: Head of Finance Overall Job Purpose: To support and work closely with the Head of Finance providing accurate financial and management information for all business entities. Be an integral member of the finance team, providing support and advice to colleagues. Key responsibilities: Leading the annual budgeting exercise and longer term financial planning as required Forecasting and reporting of variances to budgets throughout the year Assisting in the creation of Key Performance Indicators and implementing reports to management Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts for Group entities Providing a full accounting service for the Endowment Fund and smaller Group members Producing statutory accounts for all entities in line with applicable accounting standards Assessing the impact of the adoption of FRS102 in the current financial year and restating prior year statutory accounts as necessary In association with other members of the finance team, liaising with the Group’s auditors (Baker Tilly) including the production of supporting notes and schedules to the statutory accounts for all Group entities Controlling all insurances including those related to the fabric of the site, business interruption and company vehicles Playing a prominent role in the choice of new accounting software and its subsequent implementation Other projects and activities as directed by the Head of Finance Key Performance Measures: Accuracy Deadlines achieved. Ad hoc and routine reporting completed on time in the required format Compliance with accounting standards Issues/queries resolved in a timely manner. Up to date with changing accounting standards, especially those for charities Able to present financial information to others clearly eg: at meetings Team player – willing to be flexible to support colleagues. Able to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines.
