*Homework:
All homework is expected in class on its due date. Nightly

late assignments will lose points.
All homework is on the school website,
www.saintbernadette.org , under classrooms - grade 6.
No student will be allowed to call home for their missing
homework. It is their responsibility to make sure it is packed in their
backpacks when they have completed it. Organization is the key to
success!
*Science Fair:
All students in grades 5-8 will be completing a Science Fair
project of their choice. Their project should be based on something they are
interested in and have wondered about. They are not to look on-line and do
an experiment that someone else has already done. All of their work should
be original. The point of the project is for them to practice the Scientific
Method. Further details will follow, but your child can start thinking about
what they would like to do now. It is a good idea to have a couple of
different ideas because I only allow one person to do each project.
*Snacks and Drinks:
We do not have snack time except on half days. Please have
your child pack a small snack and water for half days. Although juice boxes
are allowed at lunch, only water is allowed in the classrooms. Please send
water bottles ONLY.
Students MAY carry capped water bottles with them to class.
Only water is allowed in the bottles. Please do not pre-make or send in
drink mixes for the students to add to their bottles. They are NOT allowed
for classroom use.
Also, please keep in mind that some students may have
allergies. While we do not restrict foods that are brought in, I ask that
students who eat any type of foods with nuts wash their hands when done
eating. They can either ask to use the bathroom or bring in one of those prepackaged hand-wipes with their snack/lunch. I appreciate your cooperation
so that all of our students remain safe and healthy, especially since we share
classrooms, desks, etc.
