When hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast of the United States, hundreds of
thousands of lives were affected. For each of the branches of Earth Science that you
listed above, describe at least two connections to the hurricane Katrina tragedy.
For example: Meteorology – Hurricane Katrina was a type of storm that is studied
by meteorologists. (You can’t use that as one of your examples – too easy!!)
