of Subject
At the completion of the subject, students should be able to:
 Understand the concepts of signal attenuators and network transformation
 Design and analyse signal attenuators
 Understand the concepts of radio frequency amplifiers
 Design and analyse simple radio frequency BJT amplifiers
 Understand the operational principles and concepts of phase-locked looop
 Understand the operational principles and concepts of TV signal
transmission applications
 Apply circuit theory in analysing the power amplifier circuits
 Undertake, under supervision, laboratory experiments to design and
analyse the Class-A radio frequency amplifiers and investigating the
behaviours of phase-locked loops
