There has been public misinformation concerning an apparent merger of operations between Metro Tulsa Soccer Club and Tulsa United Soccer Club. Blitz United Soccer Club is not merging with any other soccer club. For more than a decade, Blitz United Soccer Club has used the Alsuma Soccer Complex as a practice and training facility. Money for maintenance and lighting improvements at the Alsuma complex has been paid for by Blitz United Soccer Club and its families and members. Under the lease with the City of Tulsa for the Alsuma Soccer Complex, Blitz United Soccer Club is an "exclusive" lessee of the facility. Blitz's lease with the City of Tulsa was signed by Mayor Dewey Bartlett in July 2015 and runs through 2024. Blitz United Soccer Club remains committed to serve its members at the Alsuma facility, and continued use and stewardship of the Alsuma Soccer Complex for the benefit of youth soccer in Tulsa.
