How to set up Word 2010 to check for 2 spaces between each sentence.
In the APA 6th edition manual, APA format now calls for TWO spaces between sentences.
PERRLA can’t do this for you but you can set Word up to show you when you missed a second space.
This video shows how to set up Word 2010 to check for 2 spaces after a period. There are separate
videos for Word 2007 and Word 2003 and before.
You may also set Word to check other problem grammar areas for you. After changing these settings,
whenever you type something that doesn't agree with the grammar checker, Word will underline it in a
green squiggly line. Right click on the squiggly underline and select an appropriate fix.
To change these settings
1. Click the File tab
2. Select Options
3. Select Proofing
