Case Study: MACP MIS
REI is current enhancing and supporting a web enabled MIS for MACP. This MIS provides a
data-driven platform for Project officials to take timely decisions. The MIS functions are
segregated according to the Government of Maharashtra’s three Line Departments that are
relevant to the MACP. These department units function as Project Implementation Units (PIUs).
PIUs Nodal Officials are using the MIS application to monitor district level progress by
accessing analytical reports from all districts, for their own unit’s data. In addition, District level
officials can view and update field level work progress data for their district using the access
controlled MIS online interfaces. At the same time, Project Coordination Unit (PCU) officials
utilize the MIS application to perform desk monitoring pertaining to a specific activity /district;
we well as, for MACP overall. The MIS also provides customizable dashboards interface that
enables executives and other users to view different charts and reports based user
