*If you can visit a revolutionary site in or near your area, have
your son(s) research and describe the event that took place there,
and how it affected the local history.
Have him compare how the area looked then to how it looks now.
These will enable him to fulfill requirement 4b for his American
Heritage Merit Badge while completing this unit study.
*Visiting a local historic trail will also help him fulfill requirement
4e. Have him explain to you the importance of the trail and how
he thinks it might qualify for a National Registry listing.
