Components of the inertial Testing Solution Lab Executive Software & Data Acquisition System The “iTS Lab Executive Software” is a software application written by ACUTRONIC in LabView and TestStand designed to operate our Data Acquisition system. Graphical User Interface to create, view and modify “Test Scripts” Easy configuration of the system and UUT interface Executes the test script while communicating with temperature chamber and table motion controller Collects data from the UUT (via: SPI, I2C, CAN, Analog) Generates xml files including raw data Generates reports with device main characteristics (bias, sensitivity, etc…) © 2010 ACUTRONIC www.acutronic.com Revision A Data Acquisition System The Data Acquisition system available at the lab is a state-of-the art chassis from National Instruments. The chassis contains boards to support all expected needs of the lab. The chassis has been integrated with the AC277 rate table and temperature chamber. ACUTRONIC has developed a custom test application which can be configured to meet customer specific test profiles and store data in a deliverable database. The National Instruments PXI chassis is made out of the following components: PXIe-1065 NI Chassis – Hosting all boards described below PXIe-8108 Controller – Host of Windows 7 Pro. & LabView 2010. Runs ACUTRONIC’s “iTS Lab Executive Software”; Runs COTS applications from NI such as Oscilloscope, DMM, etc. PXI-5152 Digital Oscilloscope – Although mostly used for troubleshooting integrations of new UUT into the iTS Lab, the fact that the PXI-5152 is optimized for automated test, it makes it suitable for use as part of the automated test of the UUT PXI-4461: Dynamic Signal Acquisition and Generation – Used for high precision sampling of UUTs with analog output PXI-4072: DMM – A Digital Multimeter (DMM) is essential in any lab with electronic equipment; this is a DMM that can be programmatically incorporated into the test scripts used to test the UUT PXI-5412: Waveform Generator – A Waveform Generator is another essential tool in a lab; this integrated functionality can also be incorporated into the UUT test scripts PXI-6552: High Speed DIO – In reality this is much more than a simple DIO board, it is truly a sophisticated digital waveform generator/analyzer. The iTS Lab uses this board to implement communication schemes such as SPI and I2C to exchange data with UUTs that have these interfaces PXI-7853R: FPGA – The availability of the FPGA board opens up to doors to all kind of on-the-fly customization the user of the iTS Lab may need to test the UUT PXI-4130: DC Power Supply – This programmable power supply is used to power the UUT.
