FALL/YEAR EAP PARTICIPANTS
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How will the Financial Aid Office know that I am an EAP participant?
The Study Abroad Center on-campus will provide a list of EAP participants to the Financial Aid Office shortly after May 1st.
2. Can I receive financial aid for my EAP program?
Yes, if you are currently receiving financial aid and meet the eligibility requirements we will try to meet your EAP cost with
grants (if eligible) and loans. You will receive an e-mail once your award has been revised to reflect your EAP program cost.
If you were not awarded financial aid up to the cost, you can apply for a private loan to meet the remaining of the cost.
3. How will my EAP fees be paid?
Once you have accepted your award on-line at www.ofas.uci.edu and have completed all necessary loan documents, we will
forward all accepted/confirmed funds to the UCEAP Office. UCEAP will apply these funds to your EAP program fees. If
financial aid is NOT enough to cover your fees, UCEAP will send you an invoice for the balance which you will be responsible
to pay by the due date indicated.
4. When are my EAP fees due? (Make sure to log-in to your MyEAP account at eap.ucop.edu/participants/ to review bill)
Fall Programs:
1st Payment: First payment is due May 1st. If you are a Financial Aid recipient the 1st payment is deferred. You may be
charged a $50 late fee. However, once your financial aid is applied the late fee will be reversed by UCEAP.
Final Payment: You must pay the total balance of your EAP fees by the 1st of the month in which your program begins. You
will be charged a $50 late fee if not paid by the due date. However, if you accept enough financial aid to cover the 1st and final
payment, your late fees will be reversed at the discretion of the UCEAP Office.
