California Senior Legislature (CSL) www.4csl.org Who are they? And what do they do? It seems logical that seniors would know best what other seniors need in order to sustain a healthy and safe lifestyle. This is the focus of the California Senior Legislature. Some facts about the CSL: Since establishment in 1979, over 300 legislative proposals have been submitted to the State legislature; 139 of these have been signed into law by the governor. CSL responsible for: AB918-Mobilize paratransit and first responders to move disabled and seniors to safety; SB1047 Silver Alert (like Amber Alert); SB1018 Banks mandated to report financial abuse CSL is a state entity, but does not receive funding from the state. The CSL has done remarkable work to protect our aging population. We urge the public to support the CSL by making a tax deductible contribution on the state income tax return, under Code 402! It is listed as “California Fund for Senior Citizens” The 120 senior senators and senior assembly members representing all of California are grateful for the support received from citizens of our State.
