V.

Chair’s  Report  

A.

Ray  and  Alex  will  be  meeting  with  Mahony  this  Friday  at  9am.  E-­‐mail   them  your  concerns  by  Thursday  night  

B.

Dining  Services  and  Advisory  Board  needs  defined  attendee  from  CSL.  

Next  meeting  is  10/7  at  11:30am  in  Thomson  Conference  Room,  lunch   will  be  provided.  Tyra  Holcombe  and  Taylor  Moore  volunteered  to   attend  

C.

Addressing  Debra  Boyd’s  Tillman  issue,  ideas  from  the  council   included:     i.

Creating  ways  to  reclaim  the  building   ii.

CSL  supporting  the  WU  leadership  on  whatever  decisions   they  make   iii.

Focusing  on  educating  the  public   iv.

Considering  changing  the  Alma  Mater   v.

Hosting  an  open  forum/hosting  an  education  event  in   collaboration  with  NPHC  called  “Who  is  Benjamin  Tillman”

New  members,  pick  up  your  pad  folios    

E.

Do  not  forget  to  do  a  one-­‐on-­‐one  with  the  chair  and  vice  chair  this   semester  

F.

Introducing  Hayley  Neiling  as  our  new  appointed  rep  for  GLOBAL

Chief  Zebedis  replied  to  parking  questions;  Council  planning  to  invite   him  to  come  speak  to  us  soon

Motivating  the  Middle  this  Thursday  (10/1)  at  7pm  in  Tillman

Follow  up  on  coliseum  lighting  situation,  Dean  Marlowe  will   investigate  

B.

Vending  Machine  company  approached  MJ  Miller,  inquiring  about   card  swipe  options  and  food/item  students  would  like  in  machines  

C.

Project  Aspire-­‐  mentoring  organization  for  high  school  students,  if   interested  contact   huffmanu2@winthrop.edu

 

D.

Christmas  Parade  Float,  Sara  De  Oliveira  willing  to  do  paperwork,   asking  for  volunteers  to  assemble  a  float.  Ameilia  Beilke  volunteered.

Project  Hope-­‐  volunteering  for  local  food  drive,  contact  Taylor  Moore   if  interested
