What:
Persuasive communication is an essential skill for auditors at all levels, and high-quality
audit reports are a key communication tool. By participating in this seminar, auditors in
all sectors and at all levels will learn what goes into an effective audit observation and
how to organize reports that meet professional standards and communicate crucial
messages to executives and board-level readers. By mastering these skills, they can
distinguish themselves in their current positions and prepare themselves for
advancement.

Name: Kory Murkey
Senior Manager, PwC Abu Dhabi
Profile/background:
Kory is a Senior Manager in the Risk Assurance Services
Practice and is specialized in Internal Audit for the Banking
and Capital Markets sector within Financial Services. Kory is
based in the UAE and has over thirteen years of professional
experience.
Kory currently maintains a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging
from corporate and retail banking, asset management, and
investment banking. He is responsible for delivering the audit
plan through the management of internal audit projects,
assessment of process and control design, and identification of
recommendations. He is also responsible for report delivery to
the audit committee and client executive management. His
clients include Bank of Sharjah, Waha Capital, The National
Investor, Emirates Investment Authority and Mashreq Bank.
Previous to PwC, Kory was an Internal Audit Manager for one
of the largest banks in the U.S. where he was responsible for
planning, execution and reporting of large, high profile
projects as mandated by the Office of the Comptroller of the
Currency.
