The full course will be the ServSafe course from the National Restaurant Association. State law requires this course to be an 8 hour course. Classes are held on Tuesdays one week apart to give the attendee an opportunity to study the learning material prior to the test. The first class is six hours long and starts at 8:30 am. and ends at 3:30 pm. A one hour lunch is on your own. The second class is two hours in length and starts at 9:30 am. Upon registration and payment of fees, the book can be picked up at the health department any time prior to the first class. You may also get the book (ServSafe Manager 6th edition) from other sources. Pricing schedule for FSSMC course $125 includes course, and test $52 purchase of book (Servsafe Manager 6th edition) $20 book rental (Servsafe Manager 6th edition) $50 retake test (individual can sit in on another scheduled class for no charge) Payment of fee for the course is made at the time the book is purchased or rented.
