Assessment and Evaluation : Class work 80% Tests/Quizzes Assignments/Reviews Exams 55% 25% 20% Mid Term 1-3 Mid Term 1-6 Final Exam 10% 10% (Replaces worst Mid Term Mark) Final Mark = 80% School Mark and 20% Provincial Exam Mark Homework will be assigned on a daily basis. At the completion of each chapter there will be a review assignment and practice test worth marks and enrichment projects as bonus work. In addition there will be a homework quiz and a main test after each chapter There will also be two mid term exams and a final exam. *See Marks Outline* Expectations: All assignments are due immediately after the assignment review at the beginning of each class. No late assignments will be accepted unless the student has spoken to the teacher before the assignment is due. Late assignments will be given a mark of 50% unless there is a valid excuse. Students are responsible for using the web page to access the material they have missed. Missed tests are to be made up outside of class time, at a time and place arranged by the teacher. Students may re-write a test test once and the average of the two scores will be counted. A maximum of three re-writes will be allowed. A review assignment may have to be completed by the student before a re-write is allowed. Students are expected to attend every class prepared and be on time.
