Open Role: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Research Associate III performs routine and more complex technical and research related functions of mammalian oocytes, embryos, sperm, and in-vitro embryo production. Several key responsibilities include: Plans and conducts experiments involving in vitro produced embryos, micro-manipulation, cryopreservation, and sperm Performs basic as well as more advanced laboratory skills including, FISH and other analytical techniques, embryo, oocyte, and sperm manipulation and processing, media preparation, use of analytical instrumentation, cryopreservation, and supply inventory management Records and maintains complete and accurate data and databases Prepares reports consistent with an active R&D laboratory The Candidate: The successful candidate will have: B.S. or B.A. degree in relevant biological sciences field with 3 or more years of laboratory experience is required. o Advanced degree and biotechnology industry experience with mammalian in vitro embryo production, micro-manipulation, and cell culture considered a plus Ability to manage projects, working effectively both independently and as part of a highly diverse interactive team in a fast-paced multidisciplinary research environment Experience in aseptic techniques and ability to manipulate ooctyes, embryos, and sperm under microscope are a must; in vitro embryo production, micro-manipulation, and cell culture experience are extremely advantageous Enthusiastic; creative; adaptability and motivation to learn new technologies, techniques, and procedures; good manual dexterity; strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail are a must Ability to handle hazardous specimens, and use stero, compound, and inverted microscopes are required What Can We Offer You?
