INSTRUCTION
CURRICULUM DESIGN – Physical Education
Physical education shall be a part of the instructional program. Specialists in the area of
physical education may be employed to teach physical education. The ROE shall comply
with the requirements mandated in The School Code of Illinois.
For those students whose physical and/or emotional well-being prevent their participation
in the ROE’s regular physical education classes, as determined by a person licensed
under the Medical Practice Act, the ROE shall provide special activities in physical
education.
Other reasons for exemptions from physical education class are outlined in policy 720.11.
