Together you will brainstorm your country’s/empire’s situation at the beginning of the period (1750), the changes that occurred (political, economic, cultural/intellectual/societal) throughout the period, its reaction to western industrialization and imperialism and where it ended up by the end of the period (1900). Create a cartoon/comic strip depicting the major characteristics, people, events and forces that shaped this period. Make sure to use the concepts/terms from the flash card list. Each student within the group should create a few frames on computer paper and then the group will compile its frames and glue them onto poster paper to create the comic strip format. You must have between 8 and 10 frames and need to include images, labeling (dialogue), and color.
