Professional Experience

SYNTEL Ltd From July ,2010 to Till Date

Domain: Insurance

Project Title: IDM

Client is one of the top leading Insurance companies in North America (US,Canada) providing all LoBs of

Insurance minus life. As part of the Information Strategy work, the Information Services Group (ISG) is leading an effort to create an Integrated Dimensional Model (IDM) to create an integrated Allcorp Data

Warehouse (ADW) presentation/access layer. This project will help the client achieve the vision of enabling advanced analytic and business intelligence solutions in a timely manner with greater self-service capability

Project Title: MVR

The project is to introduce the use of a vendor, Driver’s History Information (DHI), as a pre-screen prior to running an MVR on a driver. This project would require the system to “call out” to the vendor which would then give us the information to determine if we need to run an MVR or not and rate the business as a clean/no violation driver. The vendor will use each state’s specific violation chargeability rules as defined by Allstate to determine the result of whether a driver is clean or not. In the case where DHI reports back “clean” meaning no activity, then no MVR will be run. In the case where DHI reports back that a driver has “activity” chargeable violations including suspensions, the system would then run the MVR according to the current process and underwrite and price the driver based off of information from the MVR (just like how the system works today).

Project Title: Code Generator

Code generator is a tool which has been developed for NEXTGEN application with the help advanced features of Abinito like PDL & Meta Programming using which generation of record structure and transformation can be done dynamically

Project Title: HPQC

ETRM organization is standardizing the HPQC template for all testing and will be deploying beginning

September 2014. The end result of this project would be building of a HPQC universe that retrieves data from multiple user containers. There are existing BO universes that point to a single container. At present, the client is only able to run current view reports for a small subset of the data. Having the HPQC data from all the containers available in the standard layer will allow the client to perform ad-hoc reporting against current and historical views

Domain –BNFS

Project Title: Invest One Extract

Client is one of the leading banks in USA. In order to support the CitiDirect for Securities one (CDS1) decommissioning project, feeds currently supplied to downstream applications by CDS1 will instead be supplied by the Global Information Warehouse (GIW).

InvestOne concentrates around finding out ASTRA and MAINSTREAM transactions for a set of static SunGard accounts. GIW receives ASTRA, MAINSTREAM transaction details, extracts based upon these details would be built and will be sent to the downstream applications, the same way CDS1 does it currently.

Co-ordinated offshore- Onshore activities provide technical details to offshore developers and recommend

Ab Initio graph design.

3

Conducted graph design reviews, graph performance reviews, process design reviews.

Conducted project review meetings, review project plan in absence of project manager.

Identified and promoted guidelines, standards, and best practices for ETL solutions.

Project Title: BMO BASEL

Client is one of the leading banks in Canada. To meet the basic principles of Basel II, banks need to start collecting data for credit risk and operational risks namely:-

Credit risk -- While many large banks already have in place some form of an internal ratings system for capital allocation as well as regulatory reporting systems, they lack the technology to meet the new capital adequacy requirements, such as aggregating customer risk information into a risk portfolio. More sophisticated modeling techniques and more advanced reporting tools are needed to meet capital adequacy and regulatory reporting requirements. But first, banks must ensure that their data is clean and reliable.

Operational risk -- For the first time, capital allocations in the operational area are recommended. Here, the technology needs to focus on data collection, tracking, monitoring, analysis and reporting of operational risks.

Some examples of specific enhancements to comply with Basel Commercial include technology that will:

Identify and gather key risk indicators.

Monitor databases for internal, external, current and historical data.

Gather loss data.

Identify and estimate frequency and severity of losses.

Onshore Tech Lead -

.

Responsibilities:

Analyzed source to target transformations, profile data, Identify data issues, performance improvement.

Extensively used various components from the Ab Initio component suite, with PDL programming concepts,

component folding concepts and source to target mapping using dependency analysis.

SYNTEL Ltd From July ,2005 to Nov, 2008

Domain: Insurance

Project Title: CLAIMS

The process represents the Daily and Initial Update Processes of Claims data in the ADW standardized layer.

The current process for pulling data from the Claims Source System (Nextgen, Process Claims,ERL and

WFMS),transforming and loading into the ADW RAW layer will be leveraged to load the Standardized layer by using the existing extracts and Partition Key lookup processes created for the RAW layer, which contain

Partition key values and have fields that have been stripped of invalid characters and spaces. This data will be further transformed to common codes; validated with error logging; natural key keys will be propagated to tables; history tables will be compared and chained for tracking history of changes; data will be loaded to stage tables and updated/inserted into base tables ; logical deletes will be cascaded to child records ; transact part tables will get loaded with new activity.

Project Title: Medbill

The project Medbill will focus on the work to be performed to add Mitchell medical bill data to the ADW raw layers. Input data will be brought into the ADW via standardized ETL processes following common ISG

Architecture and Development guidelines. New ETL process steps created in this effort will be built as generic

ETL components that can be reused in future ETL efforts, where applicable
