Enterprise Warehouse
Working in the data warehouse team for UMBC’s PeopleSoft Implementation. Involved in design,
development and implementation of database objects, ETL techniques, data conversion, error handling,
OLAP cubes, and end user reports.
Platform and Skills: Windows 2000, UNIX, Oracle 9i, Informatica 6.0, PeopleTools 8.42, Cognos Tools 6.0,
WebFOCUS 5.0, Crystal Reports 8.5, Toad 8.0, MS Visio 6.0
 Informatica:
- Developing and executing ETL maps to load the relational and file-based legacy data sources.
- Implemented data conversion by using crosswalk logic; nightly summary of ETL errors; periodic
freeze process from current data; and star schema models on employee data.
 Oracle:
- Designing, building and maintaining Oracle objects (tables, views, indexes, and procedures).
- Implementing ETL logic in PL/SQL to load warehouse tables by transforming and integrating
data from a large number of ODS tables (e.g. Employee data is populated from 32 ODS tables).
- Used SQL*Loader to load legacy flat files; analyzed the load sequence from Informatica maps.

DOCTORAL RESEARCH SUMMARY
Title: “Exploring multidimensional cubes using sk-association rules augmented by an axis shift theory”
I am working on the research issues specific to the knowledge discovery process while navigating
through large multidimensional cubes. Using the statistical techniques and parent-child relationships, we
discover skewness based association rules which are then used to enhance the navigation capabilities. An
axis shift theory measures the interestingness of sk-association rules. The research work has already been
published in leading Journal and Conferences. The research papers are available on request.
SELECTED ACADEMIC AND INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS
 Designed and developed a website for staffing consultancy services [Perl, Oracle; 2004]
 Developed a 3-tier mobile OLAP application for the doctoral research [J2ME, JSP, Oracle; 2004]
 Built a search history application for PubMed, national library of medicine [JSP, servlets, MySQL; 2002]
 Designed an E-Commerce B2B website for a construction company domain [2002]
 Developed a genetic algorithm for stochastic assembly line balancing -- B.Tech. thesis [C++; 2000]
 Optimized the cost by redesigning the plant layout for Flender's Limited, India [Java; 2000]
 Optimized the production units for the frame shop assembly line at TELCO, India [2000]
