1. DESCRIPTION
JAPANESE ADVANCED 3 – This is the last course of Japanese. Besides learn new grammar, read
more Japanese materials and learn more kanji. Students will research about Japan and present it to
deepen their understanding about Japan. At the end of the course, successful students should be
able to express their own thought in many occasions.
2. METHODOLOGY
・Students will practice Japanese by activities that are done with visual aids of by means of pair works,
imagining the real situation.
・The grammar will be explained in English.
・As a preview, students have to check new vocabulary in each lesson in the text and read the
grammar explanation that is learned on the day in advance.
・As a preview, students have to do some pages from the workbook at home. Sometimes, handouts
are given by the instructor.
NOTE:
・Students have to try to speak in Japanese, using the words, expressions, and grammar already
learned all the time in class. It affects participation points.
・It is review that is the most important thing for students to master what they learn on the day.
Failure to do it will easily lead to fall behind.
・Late homework will be accepted with penalty.
3. OBJECTIVES
a) To develop the skill of self-expression.
b) To learn more kanji.
c) To deepen the knowledge about Japan.
