Japanese students
As in previous years we have been approached by
Chaucer College Canterbury to host a group of Japanese
students.
They will be with us for the day on 29th February and will
observe classes in the morning and run Japanese
workshops during the afternoon. These will include
language, origami, calligraphy and games.
We look forward t welcoming the to Selsted school
Parking and driving
around school
There is concern with many
parents about the parking of
cars ouside the school gate. We
would recommend that all
parents park in the sports hall
car park at the beginning and
end of the day.
Can I also ask parents to be
mindful of pedestrians at all
times.
Dance audition workshops
Internationally renowned performance company Fevered Sleep are looking for enthusiastic girls
between the age of 8-18 years with some dance experience to perform in a new project called
Men and girls dance
If you are interested more details are on the school notice board.
Christian Values
As a Church of England Primary School we have the Christian values at the heart of what we
do. They are as follows:
Respect, thankfulness, generosity, trust, endurance, peace, friendship, wisdom, humility and
reverence.
Although all these values are important and we will continue to promote them all, we would
like to reduce the number of values to six. This will help us to focus on one per term and
ensure the children really understand them in detail.
At the bottom of this newsletter there is a slip which I would be grateful if you could
complete and return to school by Friday 29th January.
We will also discuss this with the children, staff and governors.
I will notify you next term of the six values chosen.
Many thanks for your support
Mrs Woodgate
