The invention also improves the way that security events are collected, analyzed, and responded to. SolventView represents a new breed of solutions needed to manage an enterprise's continual process improvement program for computer security. Architected system for comprehensive monitoring and configuration management designed for enterprise IT health and security. It is an infrastructure for scalable and extensible system monitoring, analysis, and control. Different application-level plug-ins perform monitoring and management tasks for specific network elements and report based on user-defined rules. They also utilize the information generated by these agents for many purposes, including analysis and correlation, trend reporting, alert response, and information archival.
