The invention enables a customer to select policy implementations for automatic distribution, installation, and configuration management onto the customer’s network. The invention also improves the way that security events are collected, analyzed, and responded to. METHOD OF DOING BUSINESS AND SECURITY INSTRUMENT (Application 20030208397) Disclosed are a method of doing business and a security instrument. An exemplary method includes creating an equity pool with a plurality of equity interests; and compensating an associate, who has completed a milestone of a project, with a portion of the equity pool. An exemplary security instrument includes an equity pool and a security interest in the equity pool. SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE WORK MANAGEMENT (Unpublished) The invention provides a system and method for managing the specification, submission, review, and acceptance of project effort by remote, networked contract workers. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE e-Effort, Inc. Chevy Chase, MD (January 1992 – Present) e-Effort primarily provides contract consulting services. The e-Effort incubator also assisted other electronic commerce startups and has developed the e-Effort website for accepting, submitting, and managing remote work (a virtual workplace). Chief Technical Officer Responsible for all aspects of technology for e-Effort and for the incubator client companies. Served as Blue and Red Team member for various proposal efforts of other companies and partners. Significant involvement in Proposal Red Team effort for Database Administration and Operations Sustainment at the US Customs National Data Center for one major contractor, including rewrite that fostered a win. Wrote Patent description for system and business process. e-Effort Assisted Venture – Dynasty Hospital Accreditation, LP (2004 – 2006) Developed Hospital Accreditation Management System using Oracle 10, J2EE, and DreamWeaver technology for Chinese company to provide an educationally oriented continuous improvement facility for small to medium hospitals in China. e-Effort Assisted Venture - Allegent Technology (2002 – 2005) Architected system for comprehensive monitoring and configuration management designed for enterprise IT health and security that improved an enterprise’s ability to rapidly respond to security threats and minimize financial damages associated with downtime. (2001 – 2002) As the project manager and technical lead for the Department of Energy’s Deputy Secretary's Quarterly Reporting System project, implemented an analyst level project management and reporting system in nine weeks. As project manager and technical lead for the Department of Energy’s SCARDI project, implemented a complete end-toend R and D project evaluation system in five weeks. (1999 – 2001) Developed Credential Management System using Oracle 8, IBM WebSphere, DreamWeaver and NetObjects technology for certification, credential verification, and continuing education. e-Effort Contract - Mogee Research & Analysis Associates Consultant (1999) This project was performed for the In-Q-It (now In-Q-Tel) venture capital firm owned by the Central Intelligence Agency. The purpose of the project was to determine technologies that the intelligence community needed to speed the realization of in order to make intelligence gathering more efficient.
