Designed (Chief Architect) Security Management System product and implemented associated tiered synchronizing database.
Lead architect, Proposal and Development Manager for Nippon Hoso Kyokai public broadcasting audio/video control system
in Japan. This system has been in continuous operation without any failure or downtime since 1991 and now controls over 5,500
devices in 11 cities and on 2 satellites. The PC / LAN based control system is not expected to fail for at least 20 years.
Implemented WorldSpace Satellite Multimedia Delivery prototype system for internet like services via broadcast channels.
Managed Development of Schlumberger warehouse management and exploration asset control system product for oil companies.
Product Manager and Designer of the Texas Instruments Personal Problem Solver series of products, part of which was later
sold under the name VisiCalc, the first spreadsheet.
Managed Development of credentials management website, including large database (400 tables), website pages (200), inter-site
and inter-system interfaces, and management system user interface (400 forms).
Managed Development of web-based system for R&D project evaluation for DOE and OMB. The system included 150
JavaServer Pages, 170 servlets, 300 Oracle database scripts, and was completed in 40 days, under budget.
Implemented CASE model, forms, and database for one of the first E-Commerce sites - 1-800-MUSIC-NOW CD sales internet
web site.

Broad experience with project management and review: Reviewed existing systems to determine requirements, scope and plans:
Performed systems integration, systems analysis at Peat Marwick, IBM Systems Integration Division, Oracle Complex Systems
Corporation, GE Information Services, Schlumberger, DynCorp, Centech Group, and e-Effort as technical lead or systems
integration manager. 10 years experience in Federal government systems projects. 14 years in document control and tracking
systems in health care, oil exploration, federal contracts compliance, grants management, and accounting.
Broad experience with design tools: Model systems in standard modeling tools: Have 14 years heavy experience in Oracle
Designer, 1 year with Systems Architect, plus experience in 6 other CASE or UML tools.
Generate modules and reports using Oracle’s Developer*2000 or other standard development tools: 14 years experience with
Oracle Forms both as manager and developer; first developed a forms generator in 1979 for use on a government project. Broad

Integrate new and existing software and programs: Designed and built Relational Directory System for Oracle in 1989 for
integration of office tools and files into a document control, version control, and centralized routing/tracking and storage
management facility. This facility integrated at file system level with all office applications, performing on the fly data conversion
between applications and platforms, and providing programmable workflow between functions. Redeveloped system to provide
same function for Oil Exploration to Shell, Arco, and Schlumberger (now a product.)
Design, build, implement, and test World Wide Web capabilities: Built enterprise level applications for MCI (1-800-MUSICNOW), DOJ (LLEBG, ODP), DOE (SCARDI - Struts, 150 JSP, 190 Servlets, 200 sql or pl/sql procedures), Re-Certify (150 JSP,
400 Oracle forms), e-effort. Technologies included Struts, j2ee, Oracle 9iAS, Oracle Forms Server, Oracle 8/8i/9i RDBMS,
bugzilla, etc.
Provided ongoing developmental services: Provided continued system support and maintenance for several systems for more than
1 year each. Fixed problems ranging from storage reallocation to major redesigns, from script errors to channel hardware errors.
Implemented performance enhancements such as form triggers, pl/sql rewrites, movement of function to other platforms, changes
in communications protocols (protocol redesigns for large networks), etc. to improve databases and systems.
Update current system documentation to include changes: Managed/wrote documentation for several projects.

Reviewed the design, development, implementation, and testing of models and systems: Performed/managed review function for
design reviews, code reviews, integration reviews; and management reviews including blue, green, and red teams for 20 years.

The invention provides a system and method for providing network-based security services. The invention enables a customer to
select policy implementations for automatic distribution, installation, and configuration management onto the customer’s network.
The invention also improves the way that security events are collected, analyzed, and responded to.
METHOD OF DOING BUSINESS AND SECURITY INSTRUMENT (Application 20030208397)
Disclosed are a method of doing business and a security instrument. An exemplary method includes creating an equity pool with a
plurality of equity interests; and compensating an associate, who has completed a milestone of a project, with a portion of the
equity pool. An exemplary security instrument includes an equity pool and a security interest in the equity pool.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTE WORK MANAGEMENT (Unpublished)
The invention provides a system and method for managing the specification, submission, review, and acceptance of project effort
by remote, networked contract workers.

e-Effort primarily provides contract consulting services. The e-Effort incubator also assisted other electronic commerce startups
and has developed the e-Effort website for accepting, submitting, and managing remote work (a virtual workplace).
Chief Technical Officer
Responsible for all aspects of technology for e-Effort and for the incubator client companies.
Served as Blue and Red Team member for various proposal efforts of other companies and partners. Significant involvement in
Proposal Red Team effort for Database Administration and Operations Sustainment at the US Customs National Data Center for
one major contractor, including rewrite that fostered a win.

This project was performed for the In-Q-It (now In-Q-Tel) venture capital firm owned by the Central Intelligence Agency.
The purpose of the project was to determine technologies that the intelligence community needed to speed the realization
of in order to make intelligence gathering more efficient. We were given eight base technologies to extrapolate from, and
our task was to utilize research papers, patents, web searches, gap analysis, and expert interviews to determine metrics for
when the technologies would be available, who was likely to realize the technology (companies and countries), and other
factors.
