The Johns Manville team in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Production Planner - Physical Distribution Analyst to join our
team. If you enjoy inventory control, product management and production of raw materials this is a great opportunity to
work in a small plant that manufactures raw materials for our other facilities. This position reports to the Plant Engineer.
In this role, the Production Planner - Physical Distribution Analyst is responsible for the following:

Daily verification of production and raw material usage. Production order input verification and correction.
Daily verification of raw material usage and COGI error correction.
Daily communication with JM sister plants and external customers to coordinate raw material arrival and
production schedules.
Daily communication with plant customer service advocate and regional advocates to facilitate efficient scheduling
and scheduling of raw material deliveries.
Daily communication with production supervisors on scheduling status and maximizing product change overs.
Must understand production operation to coordinate efficient job changes.
Daily interface with SAP to manage inventory and production transactions. Understand financial transactions
within SAP.
Manage raw material inventory to meet just in time manufacturing model. Coordinate activities of the off site raw
material storage facility.
Monthly inventory counts and reconciliation.
Reconciliation of consignment material.
Review usage variations and identify issue source. Coordinate with production and finance on usage variation
issues.
BOM and Router verification and set up of new products.
Interface and provide support to the finance manager. Understand plant level accounting with respect to usage,
inventory and production transactions.
Provide statistical analysis of material usage and customer orders to help forecast future raw material
requirements.
Interface with sales manager to insure production can support customer requirements.
Qualifications:
• Associates degree in finance, accounting, logistics, or supply chain.
• 5 or more years of plant level inventory management, scheduling and/or finance experience
• SAP experience.
• Analytic and math skills.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, work in hot and cold environments and walk extensive
distances.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, logistics, or supply chain.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
