Site CP 1
Cappul River, Bridge US Lough Currane (V 56781 65523)
View upstream, the sampling area is at the centre right of the photo where there is a short stretch of cobbly substrate. The
main body of the river is very scoured with mainly bedrock and boulder substrates that are unsuitable for Q-assessment.

CP 2 - View downstream showing slabs of bedrock with boulders and deep, fast flows. Unsuitable for Qassessment.

Cobble/pebble riffle with very little instream vegetation.
Site CP 3
Lough Coomvooanig Outlet stream (V 57411 65025)
Approx. 50m US from the road upstream of Lough Isknagahiny.

Excellent water clarity and nice cobble/pebble
Site CP 4
500m US Lough Isknagahiny (V 58839 65279)
Mussels observed in pools and glides. Unfenced all through this section with earthen banks slumping (see main report).
Pebbly riffle, small amount of FGA1, water slightly coloured.
Site CP 5
US L. Isknagahiny, Bridge NW of Caunteens (V 59759 65813)
Combination of pebbly and cobble/boulder riffle sampled. Water slightly coloured. Bryophyte community on boulders, with
submerged rooted macrophytes in pools and glides.
