Welcome to summer 2009 semester. June 29th through July 7th, you will be creating
email accounts, sending and receiving emails as well as attachments and registering
SimNet 2007 access online. Also work on Chapter 1, 2 and Word lesson in SimNet.
Please follow the instructions below;
Login to ACTC Web site:
Open Internet Explorer and then type http://www.ashland.kctcs.edu in the address bar.
Click on Faculty and Staff, click on Faculty and Staff Search, Type Kumar, and click
search Kumar, Chandra click on http://webs.ashlandctc.org/rckumar link. Click on
How to login to an online course? Link, click open and print a copy. Click on SimNet
2007 online registration instructions Link, click open and print a copy. Click Syllabus
link, click open and print a copy for your records. .Click Tentative Schedule link, click
open and print a copy. Click Submit assignments through Blackboard Link, click open
and print a copy. Click How to email attachments Link, click open and print a copy.
Click on Login to Blackboard and type your User Id and password.
Please address me as Mr. or Professor Kumar in your emails and include
course/section number.

1. I'd like to talk with you personally, please let me know your telephone number and
what time & day is good for you?
2. Did you find the information about Bookstore in course syllabus under Course Text
(We’re going to use SimNet and no text book)?
3. Did you open and print all documents?
4. Were you able to login into Blackboard?
5. Were you able to register SimNet 2007 online (it comes with MS Office 2007 suite 180 days free-trails)?
6. Did you install MSOffice 2007 (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Professional
suite 180-day free trial CD that came with SimNet? (Need this for lab assignments and
hands-on tests)
7. Please read following carefully;
“It’s my (student) everyday responsibility to check KCTCS email and login
to Blackboard and check announcements about lessons, assignments and tests.
Submit lab assignments and lab tests through Blackboard before the deadline.”
