For Immediate Release Contact: Michele McKinney (303) 507-3110 (cell) CSU Board Appoints New CSU-Global President June 25, 2010 – The Colorado State University System Board of Governors this week officially appointed Becky Takeda-Tinker, Ph.D. as the first president of CSU-Global Campus, effective immediately. TakedaTinker was a sole finalist for the position, and she will be the first female president of a CSU campus. Takeda-Tinker has been with CSU-Global Campus since 2008 where she has been the Dean of Academic Affairs and a faculty member for master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Organizational Leadership and Business Management. Takeda-Tinker has also done work in course development and instruction with other regionally accredited universities in both the private and public sectors of higher education. She has led publicly-held and private technology and service companies, and has served as a private equity partner and financial services business owner. Takeda-Tinker currently serves on the board of directors of the global Leadership Foundation for the International Women’s Forum. She has served on the boards of the Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow , Southern Nevada’s Make-A-Wish Foundation, the National Association of Women Business Owners of Southern Nevada, and the Founder’s Circle for University of Nevada Las Vegas, Black Mountain Institute.
