The Agenda was confirmed.

Standing Orders were suspended at 7.35pm to allow the order of business to be amended to enable attendees to
speak to the meeting.
Parishioners’ Question Time & Policing Report
There were no Parishioners’ questions.
There were no Crime Figures to report.
Police LAG Meeting 2nd November 2015 – It was reported at the meeting that the Police now have to report all
incidents of crime with a Crime number which has pushed crime figures up by 48% in the Cropwell’s and £52%
in Cotgrave. P.C. Redgate reported that actual crime has fallen.
Cotgrave reported problems with drug dealing – their main suspect is currently on remand and will be in court
in the near future.
Cropwell Bishop reported problems with speeding and drifting taking place through the village especially in the
areas at the bottom of Butler Road.
Cropwell Butler reported a lot of spliff ends being left in the Village Hall Car Park.
There is one PCSO in our area but he will be moved around areas to wherever is busiest.

M.167 6/10/15 – Junior Multiplay Equipment
To Note: Completed and equipment is back up and running.

M.170 6/10/15 – Migration of Telephone & Broadband Supplier
To Note: The service is now fully migrated to BT and is up and running. £680 of BT bills have been cancelled
with two still in query. Clerk has requested to be switched to One Bill.

M.171 6/10/15 – Double Yellow Lines on Nottingham Road
To Note: The application is due to be heard at N.C.C. Committee Meeting on the 12 th November 2015.

M.182 6/10/15 – Adoption of Telephone Kiosk
To Note: A competition has been put on the village websites, newsletter and to years 5 & 6 at the Primary
School for suggestions as to what we do with the adopted kiosk. The entries will be brought to the next
Parish Council Meeting in December to decide on the winning idea.

M.188 6/10/15 – Signage on the new A46
To Note: The Clerk contacted A-one+ whom manage and maintain the motorway and trunk roads in the
East Midlands on behalf of Highways England. A-one+ reported they are aware of the problems and are
currently looking for advice from the Asset manager at Highways England.

M.193 6/10/15 – Street Lighting
To Note: Faulty light off Mill Lane has now been repaired by R.B.C. The Parish Council will be billed for the
works as it is an un-adopted street light put in at the request of Mill Lane residents approx... 6 years ago.
Planning Matters & Applications

RBC: 15/01422/FUL – Samworth Farms Ltd., Stragglethorpe Grainstore, Nottingham Road, Cropwell Bishop –
Expansion of 500kW agricultural anaerobic digestion plant (14/02242/FUL) to 998kW to include modifications
to existing plant: the digester tank, the digestate storage tank, the liquid feed tank and drier; and provision of one
additional clamp, CHP unit and drier and a site office.
RESOLVED: Grant Permission.

Correspondence for Action

There were no correspondence items to consider.
Memorial Hall Re-Build
217.
The Memorial Hall is ran and owned by its trustees therefore the Parish Council cannot be involved in the grant
Fund raising but will offer support where possible with newsletter articles, room hire etc.
ACTION: “The Clerk to write to the Memorial Fund Raising Group to advise of the Parish Council’s position
and to offer support wherever possible.”

Community Green Space Grants
218.
Discussions took place as to what the Parish Council would apply for a Green Space Grant for. It was
suggested we look into the possibility for funds towards an adult multi-gym on the Memorial Hall playing
fields.
ACTION: “The Clerk is to look into the grant application further and report to the next meeting.”
Village Ranger/Lengthsman Inspections
219.
The Ranger/Lengthsman has now switched to winter working hours.
The Old School
220.
a) Entertainments, Activities & User Update
The film on the 20th November is “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”
French Night on the 21st November is a sell-out – The Shannon Reilly Trio are performing and there will be a
Cassoulet Supper served.
The first of this season’s Village Ventures Acts “American Servicemen In Britain” was a sell-out performance.
Excellent show very well received. “The Stage” magazine sent along two of it reporters to the show.
The next meeting of the committee is in January 2016 ahead of 60’s Night featuring Ready Steady 60’s on the
5th February and the second Village Ventures performance “Fever” The Life and Loves of Peggy Lee on the 19th
February.
b) Senior Citizens Christmas Buffet
This event is on the 18th December 2015 and the buffet will be provided by Delucy’s Deli with the film being
“Paddington”. Tickets are a nominal fee of £1 and tickets are available from the Butchers, Clerk and at
Saturday Café in November.
Transport
221.
Cllr. Greenwood reported that Cropwell Butler are doing a petition to give to Cllr. Richard Butler in an attempt
to restore their bus service.
Some of the services have been unsuccessful in that buses have not arrived or miss stops out etc. The clerk has
been reporting problems back to Trent Barton to ensure all problems are logged and feedback given to our
residents wherever possible.
On a Monday – Thursday the 11.20pm Cotgrave Connection will bring resident to Cropwell Bishop but the only
stop is at the junction of Kinoulton Road.
Highways & Footpaths Defects/Issues

A46 Roundabout – Planting Suggestions
Nothing further to report at the meeting.
ACTION: “Clerk to ask Cllr. G. Moore to report any progress at the December meeting.”
223.
Traffic Flow on Nottingham Road
Cllr. Greenwood raised the issue of an angry confrontation on Nottingham Road between a Trent Barton buses
Driver and 2 vehicles and their drivers. The altercation was quite heated and was bourn from single lane access
on the road and poor visibility.
224.
Bus Stop – Hoe View Road
Residents have complained that when the bus stops at the bottom of Hoe View Road on its journey from
Nottingham to Cropwell Bishop, passengers have to disembark onto the Grass as there is no proper bus shelter
or stop in situ at the present time. The bus shelter on Butler Road will not be moved to this location until after
the six months review in case the route is changed again.

225.
Smoking outside the Dairy on Nottingham Road
Residents have complained about the number of smokers outside the dairy on Nottingham Road complaining it
is unsightly to the public and not a good image for the Cheese Shop
ACTION: “Clerk to write to dairy and ask them to consider alternative smoking areas for the staff”.
Councillors Reports
226.
Cllr. Wilson reported the Overhead Projector has been sent back to the manufactures as it is faulty. The clerk
has requested its return by no later than the 18th November so it is back up and running in time for the next
Cinema evening.
227.
Cllr. Wilson reported an incident where an abusive note was left on a resident’s car on Hoe View Road. The
resident has reported it to the police and a crime number was issued.
228.
Cllr. Wilson reported that the Memorial Hall Committee had decided to go with the larger capacity boiler for
which the Council gave a Community Grant. P. Barlow and S. Hunt both wrote in with letters of thanks to the
Council for the Community Grant.
229.
Cllr. Wilson reported that the Remembrance Sunday Refreshments were taking place at the Old School after the
Church service on the 8th November if people wished to attend.
