Access your Rebelmail Account from Inside Lotus Notes Did you know you can easily access your Rebelmail (both the old Rebelmail and the NEW Rebelmail Powered by Google) from within Lotus Notes? This will allow you to keep and manage all of your mail from a single application – no need to go 3 separate programs to find what you are looking for! The setup process is quick and easy for both accounts. Step 1 – Open your Lotus Notes Contacts List/Address Book and click on the Advanced option Step 2 – Click on Accounts Step 3 – Click on New and select Account from the drop-down menu Step 4a – Complete the following sections to connect to the Old Pioneer Rebelmail system 1. For the account name enter whatever description you want 2. Enter mail.nevada.edu for the Account server name 3. Enter your old Pioneer login name 4. Enter your old Pioneer password 5. For the Protocol make sure to select IMAP Online (leave SSL Disabled) 6. Click Save and Close While we are here, let’s set up Rebelmail Powered by Google as well. Go to Step 4b. Step 4b – First, repeat Step 3 – Click on New and select Account from the drop-down menu Then, complete the following sections to connect to the Rebelmail Powered by Google system 1. For the Account Name enter whatever description you want 2. Enter imap.gmail.com for the Account server name 2. Enter the full new Rebelmail login name including @unlv.nevada.edu 3. Enter your Rebelmail Powered by Google password 4. For the Protocol make sure to select IMAP Online 5. Set SSL to Enabled Step 4b – continued – Click on the Advanced configuration tab 1. Changed Accept SSL Site Certificates to Yes 2. Click Save and Close That’s it – both accounts are now configured! Opening the Accounts From the Lotus Notes top menu bar, select File | Open | Lotus Notes Application The Location should show On My Computer Find the account you just created, select it, and click Open You can now copy and paste any messages you want between any of the accounts Important Note: If you send, reply to, or forward email from your Rebelmail account from within Lotus Notes, your Lotus Notes email address will appear in the From: field to all recipients (e.g., firstname.lastname@unlv.edu instead of username@unlv.nevada.edu)
