I will be available in my office from 4:45 to 5:45 every Monday. and Wednesday that we have class. I’ll
answer questions before, during, and after each class. Please use the material at the end of each chapter to study
and quiz yourself. Tutoring can be arranged through Academic Support Services (M/3/417). Copies of the
textbook and study guide are on reserve in the library.
EXAMS. Three hourly exams will be given. The lowest of these test grades will be dropped in the
calculation of your final course grade. Due to the class size, scheduling complications and fairness issues, NO
MAKEUP EXAMS WILL BE GIVEN. If you miss an hourly exam, that exam is the grade that will be dropped
in your case. Averaged hourly exams are 50% of your total grade for the course. A comprehensive Final
Examination will given sometime on July 9, 1997. It is 25% of your grade.
LABORATORY: Laboratory attendance is mandatory. You must receive a passing grade in lab to pass
this course. It is worth 25% of your grade.
